All our facilities are designed to give clients a sense of peace and purpose upon their arrival. Nestled in the town of Cherry Hill, our main location, Sanctuary at Cherry Hill is an oasis away from home.
The center is 5,600 square feet of tranquility, outfitted for the total relaxation and recovery of our clients. Equipped with a fitness center, massage room, lounge area and more, the facility has everything clients need to make real progress.
In Cherry Hill, we live and breath a research-based approach to addiction treatment. This versatile program can be used in conjunction with others, such as a 12 step program, helping recovering addicts reap even greater benefits and making our program the ideal accompaniment for clients at the start of their journey and those seeking long-term recovery.
The road to recovery isn’t a 30 day process or one size fits all. In Cherry Hill, Sanctuary Health Group works to help clients discover their personal path to recovery and discover that recovery is an ongoing process. We help clients set attainable, actionable goals and determine the steps to get there. Once they’re on track to reach their goals, we work with clients to institute a method to establish ongoing progress for the rest of their lives.
Although every client is on their own path to recovery, an important aspect of long-term recovery is building meaningful relationships. Through our family and alumni programs, group therapy sessions and community outreach, we help clients build bonds with like-minded members of our community.
For those in the earliest stages of recovery, our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) works to uncover the underlying causes of addiction. Sanctuary Health Group’s truly holistic approach to treatment will address anxiety disorders, self-esteem issues, histories of abuse and any other factors that may contribute to addictive tendencies.
Sanctuary Health Group recommends our clients stay in suggested sober living homes while in the partial hospitalization program.
Clients in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can expect fewer required therapy sessions throughout the week than those in our more intensive levels of care. Group sessions will focus on topics such as relapse prevention and relationship-building. Individual sessions will continue to delve into the underlying causes of the client’s addiction. Like PHP, Sanctuary Health Group recommends clients reside in suggested sober living homes while attending the IOP Program.
All clients participating in PHP and other more intensive levels of care must be clinically approved before graduating to our Intensive Outpatient Program.
Outpatient programs are generally recommended as a form of continued care, aiding in the client’s transition back to daily life. While the client lives at home or in a transitional living facility, they will attend therapy and support sessions with Sanctuary Health Group.
The frequency and duration of these sessions will be determined by the each client’s individual needs.
Our Family Program aims to repair the relationships that have been strained by addiction. Sanctuary Health Group will teach family members how to interrupt the cycle of addiction and codependency with psycho-educational groups and wellness workshops.
More importantly, our Family Processing Groups will work to explore the personal barriers of each family member, helping them to explore emotional alternatives to shame, guilt and anger.
Sanctuary Health Group works to develop a network of alumni and supporters who foster a sense of togetherness. By building meaningful relationships with current clients, we encourage participants to remain active members in our community.
We emphasize that a key element to sustainable recovery is helping others, and we proudly provide our clients with the means to do so.
Focused on problem-solving and emotion-regulation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works to modify dysfunctional thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Based in the cognitive model, CBT suggests that an individual’s perception of a situation is more closely related to their reaction than to the situation itself.
Our licensed therapists will work with clients one-on-one to develop a healthier way of thinking and dealing with everyday stressors.
With a mix of individual and group therapy sessions, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) works to build upon the foundation laid by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In DBT sessions, our licensed therapist will teach mindfulness, emotion-regulation and stress tolerance as they relate to interpersonal relationships.
DBT sessions will help clients to better communicate their thoughts and feelings to those around them.
Sanctuary Health Group offers a number of therapy programs that work to bridge the gap between the conscious and the unconscious mind. By fostering a creative and mindful environment, our licensed therapists will give clients the means to externalize the thoughts and feelings that words cannot convey.
With art, drum and yoga therapy, our clients can enjoy a safe space where self-expression and introspection are highly encouraged.
